Berkeley Sans

About

Berkeley Sans is a contemporary sans-serif typeface developed as an exploration of clarity, rhythm, and expressive restraint. Designed during the Winter Semester 25/26 at FH Potsdam, the project investigates how subtle formal decisions—such as stroke contrast, spacing, and character proportions—shape both readability and visual voice. The typeface includes Regular and Bold styles as well as a variable version that allows smooth transitions across weights, offering flexibility for editorial, digital, and identity applications.
